Instrumentation before the redesign (part 6)
If you cannot measure the old site, you cannot prove the new one.
Redesigns often reset baselines accidentally. We baseline funnels, event names, and key URLs before major releases.
That way launch day compares apples to apples — and regressions are obvious within hours.
Measurement discipline is part of design, not an afterthought.
